Coming soon: Tokyo ‘tube tool

programming No Comments »

I’m currently working on a tool that allows you to download embedded videos from sites like youtube.com, break.com, xtube.com, etc.. directly to your hard drive. I’m planning to have the program be compatible with any OS that supports the Java Runtime Environment.

I’ve been coding hard but still have a good bit left to do. However as soon as I’m done the beta version will be released via this blog. After any possible bugs have been worked out it will be moved to it’s own website (probably using the same web-site template i created for ipfiltertool).

So check back for the program in a couple weeks!

I was on my way to a wedding in NC when i came across this HUGE truck at a gas station. I’ve seen big work trucks before, but this was the biggest pickup I’ve ever seen.

Thanks to all that have downloaded and are currently using IPFilterTool. I was surprised to see that the vast majority of traffic comes from the European Union.. nifty! Please continue to pass on the good word about the program :-)

The current URL for the program’s homepage is http://www.tokyorocketscience.org/ipfilter

Thanks!

In part 1 the OEM thermal compound was replaced with Arctic Silver 5. Although temperatures dropped dramatically they were still higher then I would like. In part 2 we will look at Notebook Hardware Controller as a means to lower the temps even further.

Angels Chill Trance Essentials vol. 2

Album Cover: Angels - Chill trance essentials vol. 2

I stumbled across this album over the weekend. Though not familiar with the series the name intrigued me, so I gave it a listen. Pleasantly suprised my ears were graced by beautiful tracks flowing in a great chilled out mix. The mix has a very dreamy feel to it creating an almost surreal audioscape in one’s mind.

Today I recieved Creative Suite CS3, a long awaited arrival. I had been using Photoshop 5.5 LE for years, and after i trying a demo of CS2 I realized just how out-dated it really was. As a student i was able to get a copy for about $525 shipped to my door. Quite a discount off the MRSP of $1600.. Read the rest of this entry »

Getting the most out of uTorrent

BitTorrent, featured articles, guides & tutorials, tech 13 Comments »

The bitorrent protocol has taken the P2P filesharing scene by storm since it’s introduction several years ago. Although their are many programs that can utilize this protocol, I favor uTorrent. I consider it the best choice available at the moment. Let me help you configure it!
